We are a design-led studio working across residential, commercial, and community projects of varying scales. From private homes and renovations to workplaces and mixed-use schemes, we collaborate closely with our Clients to turn ideas into spaces that are purposeful, sustainable and beautifully resolved. Our team combines creative thinking with technical expertise, guiding projects from early concept through planning, technical design and construction. rjha Architects was founded in 2012 by Ray Holden, following many years of director level experience within leading London practices. Prior to establishing the studio, Ray was an Associate Director at Fletcher Priest Architects, where he played a key role in delivering some of London’s foremost commercial buildings. Ray has long championed sustainable design principles, and as a Passive House Certified Designer, he promotes architecture that balances environmental responsibility with comfort, performance, long-term value and beauty.

At rjha, this ethos is central: we design highly sustainable, energy-efficient, and site-responsive buildings. Our work always incorporates Passive House principles, and we employ considered low-energy and low-carbon strategies in every project.
